Can third party applications be installed on the iPhone?

The iPhone can be bought Apple's online retail store or through authorised service provider's in the respective countries only. It is not available through authorised Apple dealers or other stores.

Will the non-phone functions of the iPhone work even without the phone service activated (i.e., Calendar, Contacts, iPod and Safari/Mail via Wi-Fi)?

iPhone will not work until activated with iTunes. If service is subsequently cancelled, iPhone functions as an iPod and WiFi-only internet device, without phone or SMS functionality.

Are there any important functionalities missing in the iPhone?

Yes, the iPhone does not support Multi Media Messaging (MMS) and neither does it support any external memory card slot. So you are kind of stuck with the phone's in-built memory.

What about iPhone software upgrades?

The iPhone is currently at version 2.2. Your iPhone can work with the ver 2.0 as well and also upgrade to the next higher version as and when Apple decides to release it.

How can I download iPhone software's and apps?

long time not synchronised

i have had problems with my computer therefore have not synchronised my iphone 3 to it in a long while. in that time i have accumulated alot of contacts, songs on my iphone. i have the computer fixed and now wonder if i can connect withoug losing all my data?

apple 3G iphone

the time constantly shows 17 minutes ahead; I go into settings and when I set " set automatically " it immedialtey goes 17 mins ahead; so I set it manually and then occasionally it ends up 17 mins ahead sort of assume it needs replacing unless there is another way of setting automatically ??
