Enterprise Java Beans (EJB) is a software component model for defining server-based reusable software components.
EJBs are run in the context of Sun's new Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) architecture which provides distributed support services to EJBs located on J2EE servers. Developers using EJBs can focus on the business logic of an application without having to worry about the details of distributed deployment, such as transaction management and security. This course provides an overview of the J2EE architecture, including an overview of EJB and Web containers, and explores how Enterprise Java Beans are created and deployed to form the building blocks for robust, distributed, enterprise-wide applications.
