The Web Search plugin for Eclipse allows you to search for selected text on the Web using Google, Yahoo, or Microsoft Live Search. The plugin supports text selection in output consoles and text editors.

Usage is straightforward. In either an output console or text editor, select the text of interest, right click, select "Web Search", and choose one of the engines supported by the plugin. The search results will open externally, in whichever browser is configured as the operating system default.

Web Search is available under the GNU Lesser Public License, which means that it is free for commercial and non-commercial use.
