TagSEA is a framework for tagging locations of interest within Eclipse. TagSEA combines ideas from social bookmarking (tagging) and geographic navigation (waypointing) aiming to make finding information easier.

TagSEA allows you to:

  1. mark locations of interest (waypoints) in your source code with tags
  2. create tags with names that are meaningful to you
  3. search and navigate back to your tags
  4. add metadata to your waypoints, including date and author
  5. create shared waypoints stored in the code or private waypoints stored in the workspace (i.e. resource waypoints

TagSEA currently supports tagging and waypointing the following:

  1. Java source code
  2. C/C++ source code
  3. Breakpoints
  4. Tasks (e.g. TODO)
  5. Resources
