Interestingly, the magnanimous Kailasha temple (Cave 16), the largest gargantuan structure in the world is one of the most important excavations of Ellora. Earlier known as Verul Ellora has been rediscovered. Ellora is also recognized as World Heritage Site and enchants the visitors down the ages.

Known as Gharapuri Elephanta, the green island is located 9 pelagic miles athwart the sea from the Gateway of India.
