At the iGames Summit, Shervin Pishevar of the Social Gaming Network showcased the use of new indigenously developed iFun software. The new iFun software turns the iPhone or iPod touch screen into ‘virtual Wii Remotes’ to be used as virtual steering wheel while playing games on the immensely popular Nintendo Wii console. This makes the car racing games quite addictive due to its virtual controlled wheels.
SGN’s iFun uses the device’s accelerometer controls and touch screen to drive computer or online games, forwarding control signals over local WiFi or the 3G mobile networks.
The Facebook account can be used by users while logging on to Social Gaming Network. The system can handle inputs from multiple iPhone or iPod touch units at once, similar to the Bluetooth-connected Wii Remote controllers Nintendo developed for its Wii console.
