  1. How to Creating Applications with Mozilla
This book explains how applications are created with Mozilla and provides step-by-step information that shows how to create your own programs using Mozilla's powerful cross-platform development framework. It also includes examples of different existing applications to demonstrate the possibilities of Mozilla development. Mozilla is not just a web browser. It is also a framework for building cross-platform applications using standards such as Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), XML languages such as the XML-based User-interface Language (XUL), eXtensible Binding Language (XBL), and Resource Description Framework (RDF). Gecko, Mozilla's rendering engine, is used as part of the framework, along with other technologies such as XPConnect and XPCOM, Mozilla's component model. The Mozilla development framework also uses programming languages such as JavaScript, C++, C, Python, and Interface Definition Language (IDL).

  3. The Useful Web Design Books
This page has been created to provide information on useful books themed around all aspects of web design. Whether you are new to web site design or you are an experienced designer looking to brush up on a few skills. All links go straight to Amazon.co.uk as they are the cheapest place that I have found. There are no affiliate links here and we earn no money from any resulting sales. A foundation course in HTML, and an ideal starting point for learning how to build web pages. The book is structured as four parts. The first is an overview, explaining the Web design process. Next comes an HTML tutorial, tackling page formatting, how to include graphics, tables, frames and colours. The third part is a detailed guide to Web graphics, showing how to optimise both appearance and performance. The final section is about usability and design, showing how to create pages to professional standards.
