1. Introduction DirectConnect for MVS
   DirectConnect for MVS is a component of the Mainframe Connect IPS, which consists of components that provide access and integration of mainframe data. For more information about the Mainframe Connect IPS. DirectConnect is Open Server-based software that supports DB-Library, CT-Library, and Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) application programming interfaces (APIs). DirectConnect serves as a fundamental building block for highly-scalable database middleware applications. DirectConnect products are local area network (LAN)-based middleware gateways and servers that provide access to non-Sybase data and applications.
     
2. Installation Guide Adapter for PeopleSoft 3.9
   This chapter describes how to prepare fo r and run an installation on a Windows (NT, 2000, XP) server and to copy the appropriate files for the push client. The primary user of this document is the database administrator who is responsible for the environment configuration and the system administrator who is responsible for the installation and configuration of the server and client workstations used for New Era of Networks Adapter for PeopleSoft . Additional conceptual information and examples are provided in the User's Guide to assist the users who configure the system.
     
3. The User's Guide of DirectConnect for DRDA
   This book describes how to install, configure and use a DirectConnect for DRDA Access Service, including information about datatype conversion, request processing, data transfer, and stored procedures. This guide is for System Administrators, application programmers, or other qualified persons familiar with their system environment, resources, and devices.  DirectConnect for DRDA is a component of the Enterprise Connect Data Access IPS, which consists of components that provide access to distributed data. For more information about the Enterprise Connect Data Access IPS, see the Overview Guide for the Enterprise Connect Data Access IPS.
    
4. The DirectConnect for DB2/MVS Connectivity Guide
   This guide describes how to connect a server on a local area network (LAN) and an MVS mainframe so that DirectCONNECT for DB2/MVS can access the target Database 2 (DB2) database. Before you install DirectCONNECT for DB2/MVS, you must first establish the communications link required to access target data. This guide describes this communications link between the MVS mainframe containing the target data and the server. In the network configuration described in this guide, the MVS mainframe is the location in which target tables and customer data are stored. In this guide, the MVS mainframe is an IBM System/390 or System/370 running the MVS operating system .
     
5. Introduction of DirectConnect for AS/400
   DirectConnect for AS/400 is a component of the Enterprise Connect Data Access IPS, which consists of components that provide access to distributed data. For more information about the Enterprise Connect Data Access IPS, see the Overview Guide for the Enterprise Connect Data Access IPS. DirectConnect Manager is a graphical user interface (GUI) systems management tool for administering the DirectConnect configuration. DirectConnect Manager runs only on Windows 95 or Windows 98. It is  provides some cases the are  following capabilities here: * Remote start, stop, and configuration of DirectConnect services, * Dynamic configuration of services,  *Drag-and-drop service creation and copying , *Remote log filtering and downloading * Heartbeat services
