Eye allergy to the contact lenses is body’s immune response to any foreign substance. Hence some reactions are subtle and die down slowly. However, some allergic reactions may be exaggerated, depending upon one’s immune system and its triggers. Contact lens usually present with allergic conditions when used for the first time or during prolonged continuous usage. Most allergies are sometimes due to usage of contact lenses during sleep.
