Politically considered sometimes a part of Middle East, Sudan is a country located in North Africa. Sudan has been marred by civil wars and political instability since its independence from Egypt and United Kingdom in 1956. South Sudan has been ceded from the country following the political consent.

The country is drained by the River Nile that flows in the form of its two tributaries, Blue Nile and the White Nile. Sudan is also rich in natural resources. Some of the natural resources found in the country include copper, cobalt, manganese, iron, gypsum and silver among numerous others.
