Zoho Writer is a web-based word processor currently in beta. It is much like Writely.

Zoho Writer is the component of Zoho's Online Office Suite introduced by Zoho Corporation in 2005. It is very similar to Micosoft's MS office suite launched to work online and offline mode. Zoho Writer is a rich Ajax application launched to create, share and group-edit online with WYSIWYG editing and excellent image importing interface. It is very similar to Writely, a popular online word processor.

With the included feature of  "To Create, Connect and Collaborate", Zoho Writer, the online word processor enables the user to write, edit and share the word documents online as well as offline. Any user can create a new word document online or offline and share, discuss and collaborate online with his/her group in real time after login. For writing and editing on Zoho Writer word processor, it is not mandatory to use internet but whenever internet is used, documents will be synchronized.

Zoho Writer allows the user to export/ import images and documents, post a blog, upload from a desktop and download onto your PC, incorporate with Google Docs, use template from its template library and share it on real time.

It is equipped with WYSIWYG editing interface and content manipulation features. Zoho Writer supports some embedded media from hosting sites, such as Flickr, Zooomr, Youtube, and Vimeo.

Zoho Writer, a feature rich online word processor is equipped with LaTeX based Equation Editor under 'Insert' menu, based on palette based limited graphic user interface.
